Works on Paper includes three series:  Metropolis, Stormy Weather, and Chance.

 

Metropolis consists of six small abstracted urban scenes created with stencils, graphite, and collage, suggesting a story of urban inequality and climate vulnerability.

 

Four diptychs make up Stormy Weather. Each piece consists of two sheets of found ledger paper altered with tea, salt, ink, collage, watercolor, and pencil. Created in 2014, post-Katrina, 2008 world banking crisis, and Trayvon Martin’s shooting, the series responded to a national mood created by these and other events.
